It would be dreamy to spend an afternoon wandering through these inspirational gardens. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed both of your posts on a Longwood Christmas. I love the Christmas tree with the lemons!

What interesting plant combinations! I have never seen hydrangea together with poinsettia. I like the lemons on the Christmas tree too! Looks like a wonderful place to visit during the holidays!

Deb: It is a wonderful place to visit in the dead of winter. The displays are very creative - lemons with sweet alyssum makes a bright and cheerful "tree!" I appreciate your visit and wish you a blessed New Year!

Karin: Don't try these plant combinations at home! :) Although they'll never occur naturally, they're unique and lots of fun! There's something new and different to see around every corner. Have a wonderful 2011!

Chris, this is so pretty. The lemon tree is so beautiful, is that thyme or alyssum?

What a beautiful sanctuary to see! You are so fortunate to have Longwood Gardens close. The tropical Christmas decorations are creative. I would love to lounge in the gardens reading my garden books and magazines for the day!
