Donna: Thanks so much!
One: Ha! I've had my moments, but as with everyone, most of life is the routine. My daughter is the trainer in our family. She's doing a great job, isn't she?
Karin: We adopted our dog last summer and she's stolen our hearts.
p3chandan: I appreciate your vote of confidence! I'd love to see some of that Malay architectural detail!
Sunray Gardening: I'm glad you enjoyed the photos, Cher. Thanks for stopping by!
Hanni: I'm glad to hear that. You're right; my daughter's birth is a long story - thankfully it had a happy ending and she's a healthy teenager today!
Island Threads: It took me awhile to get to this post - I do appreciate your including Garden Sense in your list, Frances!

Fun facts! Thanks so much for passing this award on to me. I'm honored you think my blog has style!! I'll try and participate but no promises. It's been hard to fit blogging in lately. :-(

Dear Chris, I do love the Cape May architectural styles. How cheery! I have never been there but know the Monarchs butterflies pass through on their migration and by the millions! You have just given me another reason to want to visit. Thank you so much for honoring me by mentioning me with these other terrific blogs!

I too like to ski and you have a cute and talented pup.Congrats on your award.

Thanks for the award, Chris! I only post once a week, and don't do much with memes or awards. But it's always nice to have a kind pat on the back from a fellow blogger - especially this time of year, when spring seems so far away that blogging is the closest I get to gardening.

Kathleen: I'm happy to do it - you have a great blog! No worries - there's no pressure to participate!
Carol: Cape May is a beautiful town. How wonderful to be there when the Monarchs pass through! You are very welcome. I love both your blogs!
GWGT: I'm sure you have great skiing in your area. We have as much ice as snow on our slopes here in PA, but its always a treat when I can get on the slopes. Congratulations to you, too - if GWGT hadn't already been nominated, it would have been on my list as well!
VW: You're welcome! I understand that not everyone is interested in participating - no problem! The days are getting longer, and signs of spring are in the air, but it seems like it will never get here! Blogs do help fill that gap, don't they?

Stacy: Thanks! We love her, too, and are so encouraged to see her gaining more and more confidence since we adopted her.

Chris, thank you so much for your kindness. I will add it to a special award page I have on Blogger. I don't usually blog about these things...I guess I feel funny adding stuff about myself to my blog...but I appreciate you thinking of me:-)If I decide to blog about it I will let you know. Thank you:-)

Jan: You are very welcome! I understand your hesitation to blog about personal things - no problem! You have a great blog and I was happy to be able to recognize that.

A belated thank you for the honor, Chris -- I very much appreciate it! While I don't usually participate in the award process, I don't mind sharing seven random things about me. Here goes: When I paint, I manage to get paint all over me and the tiny spot in the corner where I didn't cover the floor. When I cook a delicious meal, I manage to use every bit of counter space and just about every dish in the kitchen. My dog's favorite toy is a cat bed. My favorite color is green, with a deep dark rich blue being perhaps my second favorite. I love to play with clay. I could listen to birds sing all day long. My cat likes to play hide and seek and meows loudly from her hiding spot until I participate. Thank you again, Chris!

Meredith: You are so welcome. No worries about not participating, but it was fun to learn a bit about you. I had to laugh at the thought of your cooking whirlwind - sounds familiar. :-)
